Peace Table Discussion on Women, Peace, and Security

On May 11, 2024 Reach Out organized a significant initiative known as the Peace Table discussion, focusing on advancing Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) in the region. Community Initiative for Developmental Action (CIDA) actively participated in this event, reaffirming its commitment to promoting sustainable peace in NW/SW Cameroon through various strategic initiatives.

Key Initiatives and Commitments:

1.Thematic Areas of Focus:

  • Human Rights Advocacy:

 CIDA reiterated its dedication to advocating for human rights within the community, emphasizing inclusivity and justice.

  • Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS):

 The organization highlighted its efforts in combating GBV and promoting SRHR, as well as providing MHPSS services to support individuals affected by conflict.

  • Disability Inclusiveness:

 CIDA underscored the importance of inclusivity for persons with disabilities, ensuring their rights and needs are addressed in peace-building efforts.

  • Child Protection:

The organization emphasized its role in protecting children affected by conflict and ensuring they receive necessary support and referrals.

  • Economic Empowerment and Grassroots Development:
